Franchise Business Operations Specialist

Responsibilities:

Responsible for expanding our service offerings to the Hospitality Industry by providing business operations expertise in the hospitality industry in general and franchising in particular to enable the company to develop a Cloud Native software solution in support of franchising operations; Providing guidance to identify franchise operations needs and map those to our company capabilities and past performance; Working with software engineers to map the franchise operations needs to specific software requirements for development; Developing a growth strategy that is focused on financial results and customer satisfaction; Creating industry specific collateral for our services; Creating and managing a pipeline of business opportunities; Engaging senior executives of potential customers in the industry from identification and qualification, to capabilities presentation, to opportunity budgeting and time estimation, and to contract execution and relationship management; Delivering presentations about the company and its capabilities in industry specific forums; Generating at least $3M annually in revenues; Creating a business development model that can be adopted by other business development employees to generate successful results; and building trust and long term relationships with clients. The position is located in Arlington, VA. Travel is required for 80% of the time. The position requires meeting with clients wherever they are located. Also, the ongoing management of the customer relationship requires travel to client sites. Participating in industry specific events and conferences will also require travel.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration and 6 years of experience in any related occupation
• Must have attained the designation of a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE)
• 6 years of experience working with a range of 3 or more franchises of a variety of sizes from small (under $12M with a few franchisees) to large (over $50M)
• Working in a variety of franchise business models; Franchise legal structures in different countries; Franchise financial modeling/engineering
• Deep understanding of the collaboration needs between Franchisers and Franchisees including franchise setup, legal, franchise operations, and key performance indicators
